A bank with the pioneer spirit of Lea County.
Chartered in Lovington on November 2, 1928 during the great oil boom, Lea County State Bank helped build this part of New Mexico — and stayed open through the Depression when other banks failed. In 1991 a group of local investors brought back the original name and its philosophy of putting customer service first.
Read our storyWhat do I need to open an account?
A government-issued photo ID, your Social Security number, and a $50 opening deposit. You can start online through Open Anywhere, or stop by a branch.
Which account should I choose?
If your balance moves around, Preferred Checking has no minimum daily balance. If you typically keep more than $1,000, Preferred Plus earns interest with no monthly fee. Customers 62 and older get the most value from Golden Value.
